MFM Rotation ultrasound – PGY 3 Objectives
Objectives
Understand the diagnosis and management of fetuses at risk for anemia Gyn ultrasound
- Recognize and describe ultrasound evaluation of anatomic locations of leiomyomas.
- Recognize endometrial abnormalities Recognize and describe sonographic characteristics of polycystic ovaries, hemorrhagic cysts, endometriomas, teratomas, ovarian fibromas.
- Recognize and describe the sonographic characteristics of tubal pathology such as hydrosalpinges, tubo-ovarian abscesses.
- Recognize and describe sonographic characteristics of adnexal torsion Recognize and describe sonographic characteristics of malignant adnexal masses.
- Use 2D and 3D ultrasound for IUD location.
Ultrasound in the Second and Third Trimester - Normal and abnormal
- Understand basic 3D techniques for ob scanning.
- Understand indications for detailed fetal ultrasound and CVS/Genetic amniocentesis.
- Recognize and describe normal fetal CNS and spine anatomy and common malformations.
- Recognize and describe normal fetal facial and neck anatomy and common malformations.
- Recognize and describe normal fetal heart and pulmonary anatomy and common malformations.
- Recognize and describe normal fetal skeletal anatomy and common malformations.
- Recognize and describe normal fetal intraabdominal anatomy and common malformations.
- Recognize and describe abdominal wall abnormalities.
- Recognize and describe normal fetal pelvic anatomy and common malformations.
- Recognize and describe ultrasound diagnosis of hydrops.
